If you asked people to name a Hungarian recipe, undoubtedly many of them, perhaps even the majority, would say "Goulash", which is unsurprising given that it the country's most famous dish. However, despite the fame of dish, many people do not know to cook it. Additionally, in other countries, especially North America, the recipe for goulash is often adapted in ways that result in a dish which is very different from the Hungarian original.
