Quick and Easy Hummus

Hummus is a great spread or dip indigenous to the Middle East and while it is simple in origins there are a multitude of preparations that can be implored for a fantastic end result. By definition hummus is a thick spread or dip made from garbanzo beans (chickpeas), tahini, lemon juice and garlic, although many other recipes abound with different ingredients. Hummus is most often served with pitas. Just so you know, tahini is a thick paste made from sesame seeds and used in a variety of dishes and preparation methods.
